Being a younger single mom having a good mechanic is super important for me. It’s always tough finding someone honest and ethical and reliable. This place is the best place I have ever been to for car stuff. Talk to TJ or Sergio; they are both super smart and very straightforward honest mechanics. I will never go anywhere else for car stuff. They do it all from basic oil changes to programming keys and fixing any engine or transmission issues. Literally this is the best place for anything related to cars. Check it out for yourself.

I brought an 89 Chevy Blazer for a transmission pan leak. They “fixed it” I got it home (struggled it would barley take off from a stop) checked the fluid level empty. They towed it back to their shop and said I needed a transmission rebuild (transmission was recently rebuilt) they bashed the transmission shop that did the original rebuild and rebuilt the transmission. Waited months and they said it was ready. There was a coolant leak in their parking lot he had to fix before I left then made it 15 miles and it wouldn’t go. They towed it again and said it was the fuel pump charged me for that said it was good to go. Made it just past University Drive on Loop 288 and it stopped again(this is after they said they test drove it). Towed again and they test drove it a week and said it was good to go. I left their shop on empty and got fuel and the fuel cap was missing($13) and get it home and the pan is still leaking and a bracket is loose at the transmission (stripped). Please be careful with this group they create work instead of fixing the issue.

Strandes is such a great shop here in Denton! They have always been straight with me on what was going on with my car and they have great service for great pricing! I have been going here for a little over a year now and I have never had a bad experience and I always leave in a good mood, which is saying a lot! And, I think it always says a lot that there are always young women like myself getting their cars worked on there. Going to get your car repaired can be such a misogynistic and downright scary experience for us. But not here! I never feel spoken down to or unsafe like I have at other repair shops and I never feel the need to pull out my phone to call my dad or husband for help. They really stand above the rest and I really appreciate them.

This shop is the best place I have ever found. It might be small, but the service is good. All the staff members are great and they will not try to sell you things you don’t need. TJ and his staff are honest and trustworthy. I appreciate Caleb taking care of an additional issue for me as well.
