**BUYER BEWARE** Took my Mustang to TJ and left it with him to replace the steering rack while we were out of town. I told him there was no rush to get it completed as we would be gone a week. Car was left with him on Wednesday with a GPS tracking device and by Thursday he nearly had the old part out and ready to install the new one. We left on Friday and on Saturday I received a notification from the GPS device that the car had exceeded 85 MPH. On Sunday I had received another notification that the car had exceeded 85 MPH so I begin to look into the notifications and the tracking of the vehicle to see where it was being driven. The trip on Sunday indicated that my Mustang had exceeded 100 MPH (101 to be exact) and was now in Downtown Dallas with the fuel gage on empty. At first I had thought it was stolen but it later returned to the address in Flower Mound where it had been parked Friday and Saturday night after it left his shop. When we confronted TJ about the incidents he had reasoning and excuses for all of it and never took ownership of the excessive speeding or joy riding and never apologized. TJ never offered to make this right and I didnt ask him to so I paid the full $1,800 bill without hesitation. TJ’s work is and seems to be good but he should not take advantage of his customers trust and vehicles.
Our manager (TJ) and staff of technicians ensure each and every vehicle is repaired to manufacture specification. The repair that took place on your vehicle involved replacing the electronic steering gear which has an immediate correlation to the steering angle sensor. The complexity of the repair on your vehicle was to appropriately calibrate the newly replaced steering gear to the steering angle sensor. Provided that our facility is closed on the weekend we ask for our fully licensed and insured technicians to facilitate road tests that involve lengthy drive cycles before or after normal business hours so that we don't delay returning other vehicles being serviced back to our other customers. We received the vehicle with a 1/4 tank of fuel and when it ran low we refueled it back to this level at no cost to you. Our staff knew that the vehicle you brought in was equipped with a GPS affixed to the OBD port, therefore our team had nothing to hide and we acted in good faith and were honest with you regarding what took place while the vehicle was being serviced. We drove the vehicle the way we did to ensure the vehicle was successfully repaired. The price you were charged for the repair was absolutely fair and hundreds of dollars cheaper than an industry average based off of data associated to other vehicles identical to yours. Our organization has been in business since 1962, we serve thousands of customers and consequently hold ourselves to the highest standard. We apologize sincerely if you are not satisfied with our service. Please call us with any questions or comments you may have. Your satisfaction is our priority. Thank you kindly for your feedback.
